Scsi Bus Extension Over Fibre Optic Cable

Paralan Corporation announces its latest development in SCSI Bus Extension over fibre optic cable. The low-cost model FX50 the location of narrow SCSI peripheral devices up to 770 metres from the host computer, interconnected with standard 62.5/125 micron, single mode fibre optic cable with SC type connectors. The data throughput is 10 Mbp's and the model may be connected to Ultra SCSI systems. SCSI bus mastering, a new development for SCSI expander products, assures correct management of arbitration and disconnect/reconnect of even busy multi-threaded SCSI systems. Designed for single-ended applications, the model may be used with the manufacturers SCSI converters for the different applications.
