New from Acromag, the APC8620 PCI board interfaces up to five IndustryPack type (IP) ANSI/VITA-4 modules to a PC. By installing various analogue, digital and serial I/O modules on the APC8620 carrier card in any combination, users can develop custom I/O boards with high channel density. Object linking and embedding (OLE) controls software for Windows 95/NT simplifies the integration of IP modules into data acquisition and control applications through object oriented programming. The OLE controls software handles many common functions including register reads, writes, and interrupts to eliminate programming chores. Applications include data acquisition, test and measurement, mo-tion control, and network data communication.
