TMPL Machines offers PCB Assembly Machine, Curomatic. This is designed to carry out curing/re-flaw on printed circuit boards, solder reflow, drying, glue curing and pre heating. It is simple to interface with other process machines and easy to operate. The heat source is state of the art convection and long wave heating with fast response to perform drying of epoxy, soldering of surface mounted device (SMD) and a variety of applications requiring non-contact heating. The system is built around a rugged tubular/extruded frame. The sheet metal panelling and hood are specially treated and sprayed with high temperature corrosion resistant paint for heavy industrial use. Electrical control is kept to the bare minimum to achieve optimum results with minimum set up time and maximum safety. Interlock wherever necessary is incorporated. The heater is insulated with high-grade ceramic wool. This material has low thermal conductivity and resistance to high temperature. The inner surface of the machine is also insulated with alumina foils and ceramic boards. A reflective cover made of high-grade stainless steel supports the heaters. The PCBs are carried through the edge type width adjustable conveyor. Variable speed AC motor drives the conveyor with vector speed control drive. Power is transformed to the conveyor by means of gears, SS chains and sprocket arrangement. The heating process is complemented by a unique method of circulating the hot air within the system. This provides a forced convection factor that reduces shadowing and hot spots.
