LEDs - LM80 Certified

Kwality Photonics, an ISO 9001-2008 certified manufacturer, has developed LM80 certified range of LEDs. LM80 is USA - DOE initiated, Energy Star mandated test methodology to determine the reliability of the LEDs in terms of working life and colour drift during use. It is a very long 6000 hours (9 months) test, where LEDs are subjected to life at two elevated temperature ambience. BIS has formulated and released over ten Indian standards for LED lights in which LM80 certification of the LEDs and LM80 certification of the finished LED luminaire, form the basic requirement. Now every government purchase needs LED lights to conform to BIS standards and hence linked to LM80 certified LEDs, which go into these luminaries. The company has switched over to manufacture and supply of LM80 certified LEDs across full range of White Power LEDs, making them suitable for all government tenders and BIS based LED indents. The range includes high power 3535, medium power 5630 and 2835 and low power 3014 and 3528 LEDs. The wide choice of LM80 certified LEDs, viz., KLHP3535W (350mA) and KLSL5630W (150mA), KLSL2835W (60mA), KLSL3014W (30mA), KLSL3228W (20mA) LEDs, together can meet every possible design requirements, be it LED street lights, LED tube-lights or LED retrofit bulbs.
