The SA-110 Strong/ARM microprocessor is a general purpose, 32-bit microprocessor with a 16-kbyte instruction cache; a 16-kbyte write-back data cache; a write buffer; and a memory management unit combined in a single chip. The 5-stage pipeline distributes tasks evenly over time to remove bottle-necks, ensuring high throughput for the core logic. The SA-110 offers high level RISC performance, yet it ensures minimal power consumption, making it suitable for portable low-cost systems.
