Oriental Machine Tools (Export) Company offers rotary and linear encoders, linear scales and linear scanner heads from Brown & Sharpe, USA, manufacturers of these systems. Encoders are available from 2 PPR up to 4,50,000 PPR with shaft speeds of upto 18,000 RPM. These are rugged with IP84 protection and can withstand hostile industrial environments. They are housed in various and have flexibility in installation as per customer requirements. Standard cable diameters are 5 mm and 8 mm and body diameters are 34 mm and 90 mm. Max current consumption ranges between 80 to 150 mA. Max operating frequency ranges between 180 kHz to 4,500 kHz. Encoders of 34 mm dia body have low starting torque, making them ideal for applications in test and measurement systems, packaging machines, moulding machines, cable and wire winding industries, pharmaceutical industries, cut to length lines, machines tools, etc. The liner encoders are provided with sealing lips, so that they can be used in harsh environments involving lubricants and chips. They are available at much cheaper rates than any other make of international standards.
