Electronic Ballast is a power saver, which brings benefits of modern technology. It replaces the conventional choke and starter in fluorescent tubes. It consumes only 38 watts (for 40 watt tube), thereby saving 20 watts per tube, which in the long run gives a cumulative saving in energy consumption. It also eliminates the need for a starter and illuminates fluorescent tubes at as low as 100 V.
- It is available in 1 x 20 W, 2 x 20 W, 1 x 40 W, 2 x 40 W and 1 x 65 W or 1 x 80 W
- The power factor of the fixture with this ballast is above 0.95. It gives instant and flicker free start to the fluorescent tubes
- Model 1 x 40 W, weighs 750 gm approximately
- It conforms to IS: 13021-1991
- Consumes very low power compared to convention electrical, ballast, in virtually saving > 35% energy
- Wide rang of operating voltage between 100-300 V
- Operates at high frequency >20 kHz, Eliminates audible noise and starts instantly with flicker free Operation
- Has a long life expectancy, rated life of tube is up to 5000 burning hours
- Offers long life to ballast and that gives longer fluorescent tube life due to less cathode current Leaves no black ends at both ends of the tube
