Electronic Water Conditioner

D’CONS offers Electronic Water Conditioner (EWC) units used for tackling lime-scale problem in water systems. Calcium carbonate or lime-scale affects the hot water systems reducing the system heat transfer efficiency and increasing energy costs. According to Carbon Trust, “1 mm of scale will cause 7% increase in energy input”. Even in moderately hard water areas this much scale can be formed within few months of operation. Traditionally, chemical softener treatment is used which in itself is hazardous to environment and moreover very costly. With D’CONS EWC, lime-scale will no longer be a problem. EWC employs microprocessor based signal coils, which send pulsated waveform thru pipe section. The oscillating field agitates water molecules, which in effect causes precipitation of CaCO3 (Calcium bicarbonate) molecules. Because precipitation occurs in the bulk of the water, the crystals seed onto other naturally occurring ions in the water, such as zinc. The crystal size and shape bear no physical resemblance to those formed in untreated water and they remain in suspension until discharged to drain. This process naturally results in an increase in solubility, which allows the now unsaturated water to dissolve existing scale deposits and remove them from the water system. Moreover, as there are no chemicals used, the treatment is environment friendly and sustainable. Typical application areas: any heat exchanger or cooling tower or boiler applications across industries. The EWC system operates on standard 230 V/50 Hz AC supply. The pipe section needs to be PVC (can be added) to existing water system. The power usage is less than 50 W.
