Microverse Automation offers a Distributed Control System, Microsys-3200. Salient Features: a true system with open architecture; modular, scalable and expandable; viable for four-loops to several thousand loops; configured around stand-alone, intelligent- hybrid I/O modules; each I/O module is capable of carrying out complete measurement and control functions of a small sub-section of plant; 32Bit CPU communicates with I/O modules and operator stations, which is configured around PCs & can also function as engineering station; upward networking for easy linkages to ERP/MRP packages possible; facility for remote connectivity - head office can monitor the plant located at a distant place; multiple access to system information - a hand-held keyboard display unit can be plugged into I/O modules; CPU has its own keyboard and display with inherent reliability; dual redundant power supply by default; optional redundancy available at all levels : I/Os, CPU & operator stations; system response time un-affected by system size / bus loading as several powerful processors in the I/O modules keep on controlling their respective plant area independently; connectivity to third party products and system configuration is available with graphic tools.
