Winslow Adaptics, U.K., have introduced a comprehensive range of programmer adapters as a direct result of discussions held with the world's number one programmer manufacturer, Data I/O. These adapters are suitable as an interface between the IC required to be programmed, regardless of its packaging style, and the Dual-in-Line programmer. Their commitment to this range is such that, if they do not have a suitable product available from their extensive range, they design one. This offer incurs no tooling or other NRE charges by the customer, even if the requirement is for just one piece. Winslow's stock of suitable test sockets is quite extensive and, therefore, there is every likelihood that a specially designed part can be designed and shipped very quickly. Both the test sockets and interconnection pins are heavily gold plated to ensure low, in circuit, resistance. The packaging is carefully selected, enabling the component to be stored safely when not in use. The total range consists of more than 200 different adapters which support almost 3000 different integrated circuits.
