SICAN introduces its digital Traffic-View System based on standardised transfer methods in telecommunications (ATM). Flexibility and the standardised transfer process ensure that the system can be expanded in the future. The video standards (JPEG) used in the system have digital performance features as well as the quality of analogue technology. The quality is independent of the distance between camera location and control room. The system works with Windows NT and can be expanded with standard interfaces such as V.24, RS232 and Ethernet. Services such as telephone, company CB radio, ELA, process control and sensors can be easily integrated.
