Corrosion Transmitter

Rohrback Cosasco Systems (a Halma company) has launched a new Corrosion Transmitter, Model 4020LT-A. This provides enhanced resolution measurements of metal loss due to corrosion inside pipelines. The new transmitter is compliant with all CE, ATEX and IECEx standards, and designed for operation in plant locations with widely separated monitoring points and a pre-existing distributed control system. While similar products only have resolutions of 0.4%, the Model 4020LT-A features measurement resolution to plus or minus0.1%, allowing a timely response to corrosion rate spikes. The transmitter has an available NEMA 4x rated stainless steel enclosure for reliable operation in harsh environments. A switchable probe type selector allows users to easily adjust between different Corrosometer(R) electrical resistance probe types. The unit provides isolation between the probe and the 4-20 mA circuits required to power the loop, making it intrinsically safe to USA, Canadian and European standards.
