The Linkset Converter includes the hardware and software to provide flexible, programmable interfacing between a legacy medical device that includes an RS-232 port, and an IEEE 1073 link to a Bedside Communication Controller. Features include an internal 9.8 MHz IBM XT (8088) processor that includes 512 kbyte Flash PROM and 1 Mbyte DRAM, high speed DCC operation, 32 kbytes shared RAM, and an available C software library.
