Capacitive Keyboards that comprise of capacitive switches based on the charge detector principle in which a charge is forced from an emitting electrode into the overlying panel dielectric, and then collected on a receiver electrode.
- As there are no moving parts or contacts in these switches, there is no wear and tear involved resulting in switches having an infinite life
- SBL uses the charge detector technology from Microchip to develop the capacitive switches which can be used in areas having harsh environments and where IP 67 grade front panels are required
- SBL is the authorised global consultant/partner for Microchip for development of capacitive switches and panels, and
- Offered as individual switches or as keyboard panels as per customers' requirements.
