Mass-Tech Controls offers a portable battery maintenance tool, with technology from Fronius, Austria. This is a versatile, intelligent, portable battery maintenance tool (BMT) to rectify battery problems. This can check the "Battery condition", ie, status of charge of any battery like lead acid (flooded), sealed maintenance free (VRLA) Ni-Cd, "on-line charging" (change the battery without disconnecting/isolating) of sick/weak cell and can operate as "stand-by DC power supply (float rectifier) in case of existing float rectifier. The system is easy-to-operate and needs only three bits information, ie, type of battery, voltage (number of cells) and AH capacity of the cell/battery. The battery is charged as per the pre-programmed charging curves and is no need to set any value of current, voltage or time during charging. Features and advantages: equipped with LCD to display charge level, charging current, charge voltage, etc; unique pulse charging technology and low ripple avoids heating of battery; improves battery life by about 10%; and reduces power consumption by about 20%. Can be used for charging of traction/forklift batteries, stationary batteries, automobile batteries and as a milking booster.
