Essae Teraoka offers the Spectra Physics range of barcode laser scanners. Model SP400 is a hand-held laser barcode scanner. It makes use of the 670 nm Visible Laser Diode (VLD) with a maximum scan rate of 40 scans/second. The depth of field is from 0 to 27"for standard scanners. These scanners come with an internal decoder for UPC/EAN/JAN family, Code 39, Code 128, Code 93, Interleaved 2 of 5, Standards 2 of 5, Codebar, and MSI/Plessey. The SP40OHD (high density) reads all of the above plus Code 49. The standard and the SP40OHD support standard interfaces like IBM 468X, IBM 469X, OCIA, 6-bit, PC keyboard wedge, MuItidrop, RS-232 (Standard and TTL), Wand Emulation, and Undecoded. The SP400 has been proven reliable after 10-plus five foot drops onto concrete. The Standard SP400 and SP40OHD are also available with extreme performance, which features special seals to resist moisture and dust common in many industrial data-capture environments. The SP400 comes with various accessories like the SlimStand, holder, holster, hood and take-up reel.
