Analogue Stroboscope


Stroboscope is an instrument based on the physical principle of stroboscopy. If extremely short duration pulses of bright light are focused on any rotating, oscillating or vibrating object, it appears to be stationary, when the repetition rate of flashlight matches with that of the object. This principle is used for RPM measurement or freeze motion studies. Stroboscope has wide applications in all types of industries. One of the important applications involves measurement of RPM of rotating machinery such as textile machine spindles, electric motors, pumps, blowers, turbines, centrifuges, automobile parts & engines. Other application involves freeze motion studies such as diesel engine nozzle spray checks, online print checks on rotogravure machines, vibration studies, cavitation investigation, timing adjustment on petrol engine, spark plug testing and many more.
