Absolute Analogue Servo Encoder

Pankaj Potentiometers has developed a unique product, absolute analogue servo encoder (A2SE), operating on principle of Hall?s Effect. There is no mechanical wiper contact and hence no wear and tear, sliding electrical noise, etc. Shaft rotates continuously in double ball bearings, giving very smooth movement. It has excellent mechanical response with no hysteresis in the output. Enclosure is anodised aluminium housing with IP-65 protection for harsh environment applications. The product has unique concept of simultaneous dual absolute analogue output, viz., 0-10 V DC and 4-20 mA in 10 bit resolution, corresponding to 0-360? without any external device. Voltage output can be used to monitor the position and current output can be used to transmit the signals at the remote for control using ordinary cable at the same time. Zero position is marked, linearity less than 1%. There is no electrical discontinuity between 0-10 V DC (the changeover is instantaneous). Variable output can be factory programmed to suit the different use of angular position, 10-bit SSI output (optional) can be directly coupled with microcontroller for further use. Applications include: as a feedback element in dancer application, tilt sensor, valued controls, robotics, font panel rotary controls, automotive applications, replacement of conventional servo potentiometer for long maintenance free life, etc.
