Satronix manufactures thyristor based power factor correction modules using microcontroller with high speed capacitor switching.Â
- This module has thyristor switched capacitors with high speed switching ability to correct the power factor of connected loads. Optimized switching behaviour by micro-processor controlled alignment to capacitor branches with or without detuning reactor.
- It is available in 10, 25, 40, 50 kvar ratings; high PIV thyristors used, control voltage 4-32 VDC, <10mA; fast thyristor switching with no delay.
- No neutral required for delta connection; status indication for power on, fault-phase loss, load open and thermal trip available.
- It has used in dynamic power factor correction systems. For capacitive loads up to 690 V line voltage; compact module, easy installation; silent switching module which is low maintenance; controlled inrush current due to zero cross switching and xero current switching; frequency 50/60 Hz.
- An auxillary potential free contact is available in our unit to energise the contactor to save wear and tear of existing contactor, it can be connected across the thyristor in the capacitor switching module, no arching of the contactor thus the thyristors will switch at zero crossover and the thyristor drop losses will be minimized thereby saving power and the contactor life will increase.
