Controllers, Cut-To-Length

Orbital Systems offers cut to length controllers with versatile features. Manufactured by Elap SpA, Italy, these controllers are of the highest quality and carry the CE certificate. The CM 76 single axis controller with special cut to length software is equipped with a built in PLC with 4 inputs and 5 outputs, besides an analogue output 0 to 10 V. The CM 76 provides the analogue output for DC, AC or servo drives and motors. Encoder feedback ensures precise positioning. The CM 76 cut-to-length controller allows user-friendly settings for the acceleration and deceleration profiles, speeds, tolerance bands, backlash compensation and blade thickness compensation. Decimal selection, absolute or relative modes, multiplication factor and correction factors allow the CM 76 easy to be easily interfaced to the line. The programming features allow the operator to set the length required for each cut along with the desired speed. The unit accepts up to 40 such lines and single or multi work modes. Password settings are available to the supervisor. The unit does not require a PC for programming but uses the keyboard for the same. The Elap range of products also includes rotary encoders and potentiometers, linear scales and potentiometers, non contact transducers, microprocessor based counters and positioners for cut-to-length and other applications. Besides, infra-red sensors for end position sensing complete the range.
