Controllers With Fibre Channel I/O Channels

ICP vortex offers Fibre Channel RAID Disk Array controllers for PCI systems. Two new models with one or two Fibre Channel I/O channels available have been added to the GDT RP Controller Series. The GDT6519RP and GDT6529RP controllers are based on a high performance hard and software architecture which contains Intel's new RISC CPU, 196ORx IO Processor. Together with the onboard real time multi-tasking operating system RAIDYNE, these controllers are suitable both for high performance and high security requirements. The Fibre-Channel I/O Channels implement the Arbitrated Loop Topology (FC-AL). By using onboard copper-media adapters, data transfer rates of up to 100 MB/sec can be realised.
