Weigh 100 UTM controller manufactured by LCS Controls Pvt Ltd, Chennai, can be put to use by pressing the start button after accepting the test parameters such as length, thickness, area, etc. This controller has the option of tension/compression modes. Based on this, it generates forward/reverse control till the maximum load/displacement is reached. Any abnormality such as breakage is sensed by the system and tripped off. It calculates tensile strength at peak load/break load, % elongation at peak load/break load, yield stress, etc. These parameters can be directly printed. The printer stores all the parameters and on completion sends these to the computer to plot a graph.
