Orbital Systems offers microprocessor based cut to length controllers with versatile features. Manufactured by Elap SPA, Italy, these controllers are of the highest quality and carry the CE certificate. The CM 76 programmable controller is equipped with an analogue output for direct connection to AC variable frequency drives, vector controlled drives, DC drives or servo drives. Encoder input feedback ensures closed loop controls for precise positioning. A built in PLC with four inputs and 5 outputs enables easy interface to the machine. The device allows users to set the acceleration time, PID for the deceleration cure, soft approach, backlash compensation, settling delay and speed selection for every position to be achieved. Other standard features include decimal selection, multiplication factor, correction factor, software lock, etc. The programming features allow the operator to set the length required for each cut along with the desired speed. The unit accepts up to 40 such lines and single or multi work modes. Password settings are available to the supervisor. The unit does not require a PC for programming but uses the keyboard for the same. Also available from the company are rotary encoders and potentiometers, linear scales and potentiometers, non contact transducers, microprocessor based counters and positioners for cut to length and other applications.
