Fagor Automation presents its Fagor 8070 CNC, a new CNC family meeting the demands of high speed machining. With the Fagor 8070 CNC, each instruction can be executed in an extremely short time while maintaining full machining precision. The Fagor 8070 CNC can control up to 16 axes, 2 spindles and 3 handwheels. The basic platform the Fagor 8070 is based upon offers the following general characteristics: open and scalable system, based on PC compatible hardware; great program and data storage capacity (hard disk); Windows 95 operating system; great communications capability; possibility to integrate third-party software; incredible level of customisation; and great calculating power for achieving 1 millisecond of block processing time and PLC execution time of 1millisecond per 1000 instructions. Thus, the Fagor 8070 CNC drastically reduces machining time without increasing programming time.
