3-Axis Servo Motor Controller Card


PCL-832 Card from Dynalog is an IBM PC pluggable system for controlling servo motors. It uses custom ASIC chips for independent, simultaneous control of up to 3 servo motors. The card can supply a simulated tachometer output to the servo motors, making the external tachnometer unnecessary in some applications. The card supports 3-axis linear interpolation and 2-axis circular interpolation, with 1 msec servo update time. The output is a 12-bit analogue voltage in the range of ?10 V, making it suitable for most servo motors. A high level library comes with PCL-832. The library includes commands to set the DDA cycle time and acceleration/deceleration curve as well as functions for linear interpolation, circular interpolation, return home and log.
