Varitec - an innovative cabinet distribution system (transformers)

This is an innovative cabinet distribution system that is based on modern functional buildings. From its modular construction to its range of dimensions, Varitec permits a distribution system to be built up and placed directly in the vicinity of consumers for the first time. In addition to power supply, it is also possible to integrate other functions like EDP, BUS technologies and telecommunication systems into Varitec system. Varitec has been developed in close co-operation with architects, interior designers, electrical system planners and consultants. With its elegant design and discreetly coloured front panels, the system is wettable to match the interior design of modern functional buildings. The rear panels, which have removable framework on which works-premounted sub-assemblies are mounted, combine with a modular cabinet sleeve, which is not fitted until commissioning of the distribution system is to be carried out. This brings the decisive advantage that all mounting work can be carried out without the disrupting presence of the sidewalls and hence significantly faster and at lower cost. The range itself consists of just eight sizes of cabinet with which virtually every distribution combination desired can be achieved easily and rapidly. This is possible since units with the same height or the same width can be combined together in a hassle-free manner with lateral or vertical linking elements. The construction heights lie between 500 and 1000 mm, the widths are 312 or 600 mm. Diverse side and entry walls, doors in eight different sizes, including one with viewing panels of bronze-coloured safety glass as well as 15 different installation groups and diverse supplementary parts and accessories complete the range.
