Prevectron ESE Lightning Conductor

Indelec S A offer Prevectron Lightning Conductor is made to protect any kind of building / structures / open area against the danger of direct lightning strikes. It protects an area more than 200 times larger than a conventional lightning rod.

Working principle:
During a lightning storm, the lower electrodes collect energy from the ambient electric field and store it into capacitors. When a lightning is approaching, detection devices contained in the system senses it and subsequently release the energy from the capacitors to the series of upper electrodes. High voltage sparks then appear between these upper electrodes and the central rod, generating a powerful upward discharge (also called streamer). This streamer intercepts the lightning of opposite polarity, creating a conductive path between the cloud and the Prevectron unit. The lightning current can then flow safely and directly to the ground via an earthing system.
