PM 240 Power Module

The PM240 Power Module can be used to couple the DC links of up to 10 Power Modules. This functionality is used for applica­tions such as safe power-down after power failure or kinetic buff­ering (the DC link is supplied in the generator mode with the kinetic energy of the load so that the DC link voltage can be maintained). The PM240 Power Module is also designed for safety-oriented applications. In conjunction with a Fail-safe Control Unit, the drive can be turned into a Safety Integrated Drive. The permissible cable lengths between the inverter and motor are limited. Longer cables can be used if output reactors are connected.
