PF Correction System

Lotus Wireless Technologies India, an ISO 9001: 2000 certified company, offers a PAC based automatic power factor correction (APFC) system. This is the latest, state-of-art designed PF correction system, which employs reliable PAC based kVAR regulation principle. PAC is known for its very high reliability, repeatability and system availability. The system consists of a control panel of adequate size, PAC unit, multifunction energy/harmonic analyser, cylindrical power capacitors, power contactors and circuit breakers. It is a flexible, modular PAC unit with in-built Modbus/Profibus/Optical port for data communication for excellent control of PF at its target point. It replaces a conventional PF controller, which has only 1-phase sensing of current. The system works of kVAR regulation principle and not on target PF. LCD display with multifunction energy monitoring, 3-phase 5A/1A CT inputs, 3-phase 415 V voltage inputs, volts, amps, kW, kVA, PF, kVAR, kWH, run hours monitoring. Basic features: 1 kVAR step regulation up to 750 kVAR as compared to 25 kVAR steps in conventional technology; 3-phase voltage sensing and 3-phase current sensing, hence suitable for balanced and unbalanced loads; reliable control since PAC based; flexibility to add on modules, i.e., steps can be increased upon requirement; in-built energy analysis, monitoring and programmable MD control; and CEIG approved design concepts (both compartmentalised/non compartmentalised versions available). Optional features are PC data logging and trending, radio wireless networking (GSM/industrial radio network), harmonics analysis, logging and retrieval and harmonic suppression by active filters and SCADA networking.
