Isolated Variacs

Radio Electric is a manufacturer and supplier of variacs over the past two decades, with many reputed OE customers who consider these as `top of the line’. The company offers Radiotone isolated variacs (IsoVAR). These are available in range: input – 230 V, output 0 to 230 V @ 2/4/10/23 A; input – 230 V, output 0 to 15/25/35 V @ 6/8/10/20 A; 60 Hz models also available 110/110 V @ 4/8 A. The Radiotone isolation variac substitutes a combination of a SL variacs and isolation transformers (1:1), thereby making it elegant and compact. This provides 2.5 kV isolation between primary and secondary, primary and the body with a variable secondary output voltage from 0 V to the required voltage. This concept can also be used effectively in DC power supplies with variable output (e.g., I/P 230 V/110 V, O/P 0-250 at 5 A, 0 to 15 V at 8 A; I/P 230, O/P 0-230; etc).
