Viraj Plastics manufactures a wide range of insulators and busbar supports in fibre reinforced plastic (FRP) material for power transmission and electrical wiring applications. This includes conical insulators, hex type insulators, octagonal type insulators, cylindrical insulators, hexagonal base, L-type single busbar support and 1 to 6-way finger type supports. Besides it also manufactures pushbutton stations, junction boxes, enclosures, glands, pole boxes, pole supports and other accessories needed for electrical power distribution. Being made of FRP, these products are not only anti-corrosive, but also light in weight and unlikely to be pilfered as happens in case of metal parts, making them eminently suitable for outdoor applications. The company has a network of dealerships all over the country, and exports its products to Middle East and South East Asian countries.
