High Resolution & Speciality Linear Actuators

HSI, a leader in permanent magnet stepping motors, offers a line of high resolution linear actuators. They feature the smallest step capability available for permanent magnet linear actuators. The range varies from 0.000125&8221; (0.003175 mm) to 0.00125&8221; (0.03175 mm) per step. The smallest motor is of l/2&8221; (15 mm) diameter, and the largest is of 1.8&8221; (46 mm) diameter. These motors can also be electronically micro-stepped. A captive or non-captive lead screw option can be supplied for every size except the l/2&8221; ( 15 mm) diameter motor which is available with a captive shaft only. Both bipolar and unipolar coil configurations are available. The 1.8&8221; (46 mm) diameter motor is also available with a NEMA flange. Applications include medical instrumentation, office equipment, machinery automation, robotics, sophislticated pumping systems and other automated devices which require precise remote controlled linear movements in high or low temperature environments.
