Energy Savers

Microedge Electronics offers Energy Savers. These are used for saving energy while operating induction motors when the load is cyclic or continuously low. Two types of energy savers are available: thyristorised type and an electronic system or delstar converter module. The thyristorised type continuously adjusts the voltage based on load, to save energy. Delstar converter modules are low cost system that can be used when the load on the motor is less than 50%. Advantages: substantial energy saving, reduction in KVA contributing to reduction in maximum demand, improvement in power factor, cooler operation of motor leading to increase in motor life. Optional facilities like digital indication for current, hour meter, run overload trip, start overload trip and single phasing trip etc. can be provided. These can be installed in the MCC or near the motor. These are available in standard and IP55 and other special enclosures are suitable for outdoor use. Models for use with existing DOL starters are also available.
