Energy Saving Star Delta Starter

Microedge Electronics offers an Energy Saving Star Delta Starter. This is useful for starting motors as well as saving energy, when motors to which they are connected to run on low or cyclic load conditions. It consists of star delta starter and energy-saver module, built-in to save energy and also operates the motor with reduced demand (kVA) and improved power factor. The lower operating current results in the motor running cooler, leading to an increased motor life. Optional facilities like digital indication for current, hour meter, run overload trip, start overload trip, single phasing trip, etc. is provided. This is installed in the MCC or near the motor. This is available in standard and IP55 and other special enclosures, suitable for outdoor use. Models for use with existing DOL starters can also be supplied. Different options available are start in star and change over to delta and then operate the motor in star or delta.
