Earthing Systems

McML Systems (P) Ltd offers Earthing Systems. This is maintenance free and does not require topping up of water. It uses multiple copper coated rods and compression couplers instead of GI pipe to avoid corrosion. These rods are driven deep into the earth to a depth of about 18 to 30 feet using special rod drivers to touch the natural soil for better dissipation of the fault current. A special earth enhancing compound "Conducrete" is added to reduce the soil resistivity, thus achieving a very low resistance of less than one ohm; charcoal and salt are completely omitted. This compound also helps to maintain constant earth resistance throughout the year. Usage of bolt- nut connections is totally avoided and all these electrical connections are made using exothermic welding to make them resistance free.
