Digital Power Optimiser (Energy Saver)

The digital power optimiser is an energy saver for 3-phase AC induction motors of range 7.5 HP-800 HP. This microcontroller based power optimiser/soft start-soft stop for three phase motors will save 15% to 40% of electricity costs without any power loss or detriment to the motor speed. Its thyristorised micro controller detects the motor load and regulates the voltage (reduces/increases); and improves efficiency of the motor without hampering the speed of the motor. It provides sufficient but not too much torque continuously adjusting the power to load. The soft start facility is incorporated in all 3 phases of the energy saver. It provides a gradual and controlled increase (soft start)/(decrease in case of soft stop) in the voltage applied to the motor terminals, thus eliminating the high peak current created during the starting cycle of induction motors. This energy saver, a maintenance free unit, is meant for any 3-phase asynchronous AC induction motors; and has had successful installations up to 150 HP.
