With the latest product, Schaeper Automation claim to add the missing link to the chain of core-saving wired devices by also connecting command and signalling devices in control and display panels. These were previously connected with multiwires, but now have a two wire line without restrictions to the mechanical layout. For this purpose, the manufacturers have added electronics to the switching elements from competitive command and signalling device manufacturers. All the specific panel functions, such as flashing, dimming, automatic lamp test as well as fault indication and changeover from key-in to clickstop function can be achieved. For decentral peripheral units, the system can also be connected to a Profibus DP or the EIB.
