Basic coated electrode, extra low hydrogen

Esab India offers a range of welding consumables. OK 48.20 is a new generation extra low hydrogen basic coated electrode designed for welding fabrication of plain carbon steels. This electrode has been launched recently in India to a very enthusiastic response from users. OK 48.20 has design features superior to conventional AWS E 7018 electrode in terms better mechanical properties as well as exceptionally low hydrogen content of 4 ml/100 g, very little spatter, mitre beads, and other welder friendly features. In addition, the electrode coating contains very low moisture. The weld metal deposited using OK 48.20 electrode is resistant to failure in case of dynamic loading as well as tri-axial stressing. This electrode is approved by leading inspection agencies like LRS, ABS, BV, DNV, etc can be used for welding of boiler, pressure vessels, storage tanks, pipes, railway coaches, automobile bodies, casting repair, etc.
