Automatic power factor correction system

Baron Power Limited offers a range of Automatic Power Factor Correction Panels in association with FRAKO Kondensatoren und Anlagenbau GmbH. They ensure operation of load consistently, at a power factor above 0.9 lagging. This avoids the PF penalty and optimises the maximum demand. The advantages of operating at a better power factor by installing APFC are: minimising the line losses, thus saving power consumption; reduces kVA demand changes; avoidance of motor winding failures and end termination darkening or burn - outs; and APFC panel being categorised under "Energy Saving Equipment", 100% depreciation can be availed in the first year itself. These systems are blended with the latest technology to ensure reliable operation of the total system. The components are: capacitors - FRAKO, Germany, dry type compact cylindrical with high overload capacity; contactors, MCBs, MCCBs are exclusively selected for this application; reactive power control relay - FRAKO, Germany, microprocessor based for precise and quick control. It also monitors harmonic level continuously with alarm and trip facility in addition to the manual/automatic operation to program each individual capacitor stages.
