Anti-Collision Device & Overload Protection

Schunk India Branch Office offers the OPR Series anti-collision device and overload protection to protect robots and handling units against damage resulting from collisions or overload conditions. The company has added size 61 to the lower range of the OPR series, thus providing options to meet the growing demand for smaller solutions. The reset is built-in. Like all OPR modules, this new size also has an automatic reset, which makes possible to resume the production process more quickly after collisions. In the event of overloads or collisions, the tool plate deflects and automatically actuates the system's emergency stop mechanism at the same time. The sensitivity of the system is adjustable via the operating pressure; overload detection occurs in the X, Y (+/-) and Z-directions and also when rotating around the X, Y and Z-axes. The switching point is also adjustable. To prevent function failures due to cable breakage, a cable breakage monitoring function is also integrated.
