AC/DC Yoke

AC/DC yoke is used for finding surface and near-surface defects. Specifications, electrical: the yoke is designed for use on 220 V, 50 Hz, 1-phase supply. The yoke will draw 2.5 A at max load conditions in DC, 2.2 A in AC; controls electronic manual –solid state control mounted inside the moulded casing, i) momentary "push-to-test" switch, ii) AC/DC selector switch, iii) DC level control; duty cycle – two minutes "On" and two minutes "Off" at max output; machine field AC – constant level, HWDC – pulsed, infinitely variable from zero to maximum; poles adjustment – 0-300 mm; full force – approximately 27 kg at 100 mm pole spacing; yoke weight – 3.5 kg (approx, without case); and specification compliance – ASTM E 1444.
