Voltage Breakdown Tester

Supreme Electrical Products offer Tesla high resolution high voltage breakdown tester with automation facility. This tester is designed to save money as well as space, while being used as a double range set. It incorporates a specially designed transformer in double ratio so that the set can be operated in two ranges independently with very accurate setting and readability of kilovolt ranges in the meter. The superior performance, quality, reliability and accuracy are ensured by specially designed coils with highly graded insulation suitable to withstand frequent short circuits during the failure of specimen under test. The core used is of the best grade CRGO silicon sheet steel. Operator's safety is taken care of by solidly earthing the high voltage winding through a current limiting resistor and milliampere meter. Also, as a special feature, a continuously variable leakage current setting is provided using highly reliable electronic tripping circuit. Highest accuracy is achieved by metering through HV winding tap using linear scale DC meters. An optional fault burning facility is provided to see the burning at the point of fault in test object. An automatic test system is achieved through motorisation at fixed rate of rise of voltage, a dwell timer and a preset voltage control. The tester is a useful equipment for cable manufacturers in testing of braided/enamelled, PICC, NOMEX, mica, double glass fibre lapped conductors, cable samples and insulating materials.
