Power Loggers

Fluke offers Power Logger, Fluke 1735. This is a portable tool for electricians and technicians conducting load studies, energy assessments and general power quality logging. It includes four flexible current probes that require no external power or batteries; the instrument automatically detects and scales the probes to measure all three phases and neutral. This model captures hard-to-find events by logging up to 45 days of data on parameters including rms voltage, rms current, phase angle, voltage events, voltage and current THD, voltage and current harmonics up to the 50th, active power, reactive power, power factor, active energy and reactive energy. The collected data can be easily downloaded to a laptop in the field, and the included PowerLog software enables users to quickly view graphs and tables of the recorded data, as well as to generate reports. It is a cost-effective, reliable solution for addressing applications including: load studies: verify electrical system capacity before adding loads; energy assessments - quantify energy consumption before and after improvements to justify energy saving devices; harmonics measurements - uncover harmonic issues that can damage or disrupt critical equipment; and voltage event capture - monitor for sags and swells that cause spurious resets or nuisance circuit breaker tripping.
