Potentiometers

Orbital Systems offers a range of potentiometers for industrial automation, manufactured by Elap SpA, Italy. Linear potentiometers are used to transform mechanical linear motion into corresponding electrical signals. Enclosed in aluminium case with IP 65 protector, these potentiometers are robust and withstand hostile industrial enivronment. The potentiometers are available in series PM, PLS, PL2S and PL23 with stroke lengths from 25 mm up to 1000 mm. Using conductive plastic resistance element with a wiper arm of noble material, these linear potentiometer have excellent linearity of 0.075 % and infinite resolution. They are easy to mount ball joints on one or both ends and clamping feet. The company also offers rotary potentiometers with single or multi-turn using conductive plastic resistance element thereby offering excellent linearity. Rotary potentiometers are available in single and multi-turns with 5 kW resistance and standard tolerance of ?0.35%. Linear wire rope potentiometers with spring return device are offered with measuring stroke up to 4 metres. With life of over 20,00,000 operations these potentiometers find application in injection moulding machines, hydraulic presses, SPMs cut to length systems, textile machinery, winding application, etc.
