Shanti Electric Instruments Pvt Ltd, a Mumbai-based organisation, manufactures panel meters whose housing is made of polycarbonate, which is self-extinguishing and drip-proof as per UL 94 V-0. The excellent housing design enables easy installation into various types of grid system. The bezels and glass faceplates of the panel meters can be easily exchanged. The back cover ensures safety of hand and fingers directly touching the live terminals. The uniform low insertion depth behind bezel including M4 terminals is 54 mm. Terminal protection with back cover confirms to IP 20 as per IS 2147. Interchangeable scale facility minimizes the carrying cost of inventory substantially. It also helps in reducing the lead times. The scale can be pulled out and replaced by opening the permanently fixed click fit window at the top of the housing.Standard "S" type screws are used for clamping whereas the leaf springs are used for heightened stress requirements. Leaf springs save time in installing the panel meters since they snap into the panel very easily and speedily. The range of operating and storage temperatures is -10 to +55 deg C and -25 to +65 deg C, respectively. These panel meters have an accuracy of +/- 1.5 percent as per IS 1248 and EN 60051 (IEC - 51).Shunt resistors are available for DC measurements with nominal current 5A minimum and 7,500A maximum. These panel meters are available with case sizes 96 mm x 96 mm, 72 mm x 72 mm, and 48 mm x 48 mm. Through dial illumination is an optional feature available.
