High voltage breakdown tester is useful for checking high voltage withstanding capacity of insulation material. Hence it is used to determine the quality of insulation. The test level depends upon the working voltage of insulation material / electrical apparatus or as per ISI requirements.
High voltage breakdown tester is useful for manufacturers of insulation material, transformers, switchgear, varnishes, pump, motors, electrical apparatus, cables, wire, capacitors, electrical & electronics component manufacturers.
- Meter - analogue (moving coil) separate meter for voltage & current
- Accuracy - +/- 5% (for 10% to 100% ranges)
- Audio buzzer - buzzer turns ON when HT is ON
- Tripp current selection - selectable in three steps of 25%, 50% &100%.
- HT ON - Red lamp indication
- HT OFF - Green lamp indication
- Insulation breakdown: yellow lamp remains on after insulation breakdown takes place.
- Power requirement - 230+/- 10% V AC, 50 Hz, 1phase/ optional 110 V AC
- HT increase / decrease - manually
