High Voltage Test Equipment

Any electrical equipment that is manufactured must have proper insulation value for safe operation. Poor insulation value may even cost life, if the operator working on 3-phase system or even in a single phase system. To check such insulation values, South Eastern Equipment Co (SEECO) has introduced a high voltage test apparatus that detects the insulation value. Any poor insulation between earth point and the live point will immediately trip the system and indicate the healthiness of the unit's insulation value. Indian standards have specified that minimum power frequency voltage withstand test level for any electrical insulation is 2 kV for one minute. Hence the company has brought out suitable models of 0-3 kV and 0-5 kV test units. Higher kV rating insulation tests like 10, 30, 50, 100, 150, 200 and 300 kV units are also available in different models like oil cooling sections, with condenser type HV points, remote operational systems, alarm indication, safety grounding stick, door, interlocking system, backup magnetic over load protection, external interlock provision for wiring in additional safety interlocks, etc. The picture shown here is of 300 kV/250 kV model. Breakdown testers, etc., are additional facilities available. All equipments are CPRI tested at Bangalore and Bhopal
