Modular Connector Systems

Wieland Electric GmbH have conceived a modular connector system. The modular frames can be fitted with subassemblies consisting of three up to 20 poles which feature a voltage range from 63 V to 1,000 V and powers from 5 A to 40 A. The modular frames can be supplied with inverse modules. The contacts for three-, five- and ten-pole modules are made in twisted execution with silver-plated surface for the crimp connection technique. In the high frequency area, the modules are made with four poles plus PE in punched execution with gold-plated surface. Compared to the standard connector, the size of the casing can nearly always be reduced by one size, due to a higher contact density and assembly of mixed components.
