Powerplug Corpn introduces industrial plugs and sockets conforming to BS 4343, IEC 309 and CEE 17 standards, under the brand name of Ficher. They are made out of high impact resistant engineering thermoplastics, and the IP 44 construction makes them shock proof, water splash proof, weather proof and vermin proof. They are corrosion resistant, flame retardant and can withstand high temperature. Spring loaded brass contacts avoid loose contacts. Touchproof terminals prevent accidental contact with the live parts during testing. Self locking shutter prevents unintentional withdrawal of plug. They are available in 16 A and 32 A current ratings and 2P+E, 3P+E, and 3P+N+E pin configurations. User areas are: air conditioners, refrigerating units, heaters, geysers, motors, welding sets, portable tools, stabilisers, medical equipments, industrial machinery, constructlion equipments, chemical plants, etc.
