Din Lugs & Connectors

Klauke GmbH, founded in 1879, has been the hallmark of innovation and quality in the field of connectors and tools related to crimping and cutting. The company is the biggest manufacturer of Lugs and Connectors in Europe with three production facilities and a turnover of excess of € 100 million. Besides having its own standard design of lugs and connectors, it also produces lugs and connectors to DIN standards: DIN 46235 – copper compression lugs and connectors; DIN 46234 – solderless terminals and pin connectors; and DIN 46239 – aluminium compression cable lugs and connectors. The DIN lugs have the advantages of: fixed dimensions (independent of manufacturer); better conductivity (due to more copper); fixed tin plating; testing as per IEC 61238-1 (independent test labs); and crimping match codes. DIN standards not only specifies the lugs and connectors but also suggests the “Dies” that will best crimp the connectors. DIN standard specifies the entire crimping process and Klauke being the leader in their filed adheres strictly to the DIN standards. Klauke not only makes the DIN cable lugs and connectors but also has the suitable DIN Dies and tools to ensure a “perfect crimping”.
